The history of the Muswellbrook Golf Club stems back to 1900 when Donald Macintyre of Kayuga founded the club , however the club was not officially formed until March 12th 1910 . The Rev J.H.G Auld was the driving force behind this and was instrumental in the council granting permission for fences and sand greens to be built .
The first small club house was erected on the railway side of the creek in 1914. A new clubhouse was built near the southern end of Muscle Creek bridge in 1924 ,the club was then moved some 50 metres in 1964 with the last of the renovations completed in 1977 . The Club now has an 18-hole golf course that has the reputation of the “Best In The Valley”.
This 18-hole public showpiece golf course is set in the picturesque town of Muswellbrook surrounded by many industries some of which include Coal Mines , Power Stations , Horse Studs and Vineyards
The Muswellbrook Golf Club caters for men and women of all ages , and memberships include , full membership , social , senior , junior , cadet , country and corporate .
